Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and PicAHouse Ltd (company number 17349914, registered office 2 Swinburne Avenue, Broadstairs, CT10 2DP, United Kingdom) for your use of the PicAHome app. By using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
What PicAHome does
PicAHome lets you photograph a home and see information about it: its sold-price history, property details, what is on the market nearby, and area information such as planning applications, council tax, flood risk and schools.
What the information is, and is not
The information in PicAHome is drawn from public and third-party sources, including HM Land Registry, the government Energy Performance Certificate register, and property data providers. It is provided for general information only.
- Sold prices come from HM Land Registry and cover England and Wales only. They are not available for Scotland or Northern Ireland.
- Sold prices are published by HM Land Registry two to three months after a sale completes, so a very recent sale may not yet appear.
- Identifying which home you photographed involves judgement, and we sometimes get it wrong. Check the address shown before relying on anything under it.
- Some information is estimated or inferred, and some homes have little or no information on record.
You should not rely on PicAHome as the sole basis for any financial, purchase or legal decision. Always verify with the relevant professionals — estate agents, surveyors, conveyancers — before acting. We do not give financial, legal or property advice, and nothing in the app is an offer or a valuation.
Your account
Every install is given an account automatically so the app works straight away. You can create a full account with an email address, or by signing in with Apple or Google.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must give accurate information when you sign up. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
What it costs
PicAHome is free, and there is nothing on sale in the app at present. If we introduce paid features we will say so clearly, prices will be shown before you buy, and payment will be handled by the app store you downloaded PicAHome from — Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — through your store account. Refunds for any store purchase are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Photos you take
The photos you take stay yours. By using the app you allow us to store them and use them to work out which home you were pointing at, to check whether we got it right, and to improve how well the app does that. We do not publish them, sell them, or use them to advertise. Photos taken at the shutter are deleted after seven days; homes you save stay until you delete them.
You must have the right to take the photo: only photograph from a place you are entitled to be, and do not photograph the inside of anybody's home.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose;
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the data or content from the app;
- attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems;
- use the app to harass, intrude on, or gather information about specific individuals.
Availability
We try to keep the app working and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and some third-party data sources are outside our control. Free use does not entitle you to any particular level of service.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the information in the app, or for indirect or consequential loss. Because the information is for general guidance only, we are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party data.
Changes
We may update these terms or the app. If we make significant changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
